Udaipur: A review meeting under the Navadi Samarth Life Skills Education Program was held at the auditorium of the Commissioner’s Office, Tribal Area Development Department, Udaipur. The meeting aimed to review the progress, evaluate achievements, and discuss the future action plan of the life skills education program being jointly implemented by the department and Magic Bus India Foundation.
Additional Commissioner Krishnapal Singh Chauhan informed that the Life Skills Education Program has completed one and a half years of implementation. During this period, positive changes have been observed in the life skill dimensions of students. He noted that the annual evaluation presentation showed an improvement ranging from 21 percent to 48 percent, and future plans will be developed based on these outcomes to further benefit students.
Divisional Commissioner Pragya Kevalramani directed officials to prepare a program summary highlighting achievements in emotional, cognitive, and social dimensions based on the 11 core life skills of the program. She emphasized including learning experiences of students from each district. During the meeting, the “Meri Sikh” booklets prepared by students from Dungarpur district were reviewed and appreciated.
Commissioner of the Tribal Area Development Department Kanhaiya Lal Swami instructed that the three-year Life Skills Education curriculum should be printed and distributed to schools and hostels to strengthen the program further. He also reviewed the evaluation status and provided guidance regarding long-term sustainability and expansion of the initiative.
Government Partnership Head (North India) of Magic Bus India Foundation Smita Shendye shared the strategy and action plan for the next phase of the program. Discussions were also held regarding the effective implementation of the life skills education program in Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS).
Dr. Amrita Dadhich explained the importance of life skills education and presented an overview of its status in the state, along with details of the current progress. Subsequently, Dinesh Sharma and Dechen Dolma delivered a detailed presentation covering the program’s implementation, achievements, challenges, and key findings from the evaluation.
At the end of the program, principals, master trainers, and teachers shared their experiences in the presence of Dr. Neelima Agrawal, DGM (Rajasthan), Magic Bus India Foundation. Participants who performed outstanding work were also honored.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Pratyush Das, Regional Director (North India), Magic Bus India Foundation. The meeting was attended by departmental officials, educationists, principals, teachers, and representatives of various institutions.
