Udaipur: A seven-day state-level mask-making workshop organized by the Manikya Lal Verma Tribal Research and Training Institute (TRI) concluded under the chief guestship of Laeeq Hussain, Director of the Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal.
The workshop was conducted under the “Support to TRI” program of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, at the Cultural Resource and Training Centre (CCRT), Udaipur campus.
Addressing the valedictory session, Laeeq Hussain highlighted that mask art is deeply connected with tribal faith and beliefs. He stated that when artists approach mask-making with the same sense of devotion and spirituality, the community also perceives the masks with similar reverence.
Presiding over the कार्यक्रम, TRI Director O.P. Jain emphasized the importance of mask art and shared information about the institute’s efforts to promote and preserve this traditional form.
Workshop Nodal Officer Sudhir Dave, Director (Statistics), expressed gratitude to all participants. At the end of the event, participation certificates were distributed to the artists.
Artists Khemraj Dindor from Banswara and Sangeeta Gameti from Udaipur also shared their experiences and insights gained during the workshop.
