Hindu New Year Celebrated at Court Premises; Advocates Offer Tilak and Saplings to Convey Best Wishes

Udaipur: On the occasion of Hindu New Year and Nav Samvatsar (Vikram Samvat 2083), the Advocates’ Council, Udaipur Unit, celebrated the festival at the main entrance of the court premises by applying tilak, distributing saplings, and offering prasad, symbolizing Indian Sanatan traditions, culture, and renewed consciousness. The event highlighted that this sacred day represents the new beginning of creation, the restoration of dharma, truth, and our glorious cultural heritage.

During the event, Advocates’ Council President, Manish Sharma, stated, “Hindu New Year strengthens our timekeeping system, cultural awareness, and national consciousness. It is not merely a change of calendar year but also signifies seasonal transitions, the joy of nature, and new enthusiasm. We should all resolve to make our nation more prosperous and culturally enriched in this new year.”

Advocates’ Council General Secretary, Dr. Vishnu Shankar Paliwal, conveyed his best wishes to all, saying, “May this Nav Samvatsar bring happiness, prosperity, good health, and boundless joy into your lives. This day marks the beginning of creation and the coronation of King Vikramaditya. We should all embrace new beginnings, positivity, preservation of culture, and the spirit of patriotism.”

On this occasion, the newly appointed SP Amrita Duhan, ASP Umesh Ojha, and ADM Jitendra Ojha were also greeted at the main entrance of the court premises with tilak, saplings, and prasad to mark the New Year.

The program was attended by several prominent advocates, including Bar Association President Jitendra Jain, General Secretary Lokesh Gurjar, Vice President Mahendra Menaria, Secretary Ashish Kothari, and members Chakravarti Singh Rao, Bhupendra Singh Chundawat, Ganesh Lal Teli, as well as Advocates’ Council members Dinesh Gupta, Ritu Saraswat, Preeti Bapna, Neha Jain, Archana Nenawa, Rajesh Vasita, Bharat Kumawat, Sunil Kalyana, Naveen Menaria, Poonamchand Meena, Satyendra Singh Sankhla, Mahendra Ojha, Lalit Sen, Manish Khandelwal, and Manish Kumawat.

The event was marked by a spirit of unity, cultural pride, and collective celebration of tradition among the legal community.
