High-Level Inspection of ‘Annual Health Checkup’ Pilot Project at ESIC Hospital, Udaipur

Udaipur – Dr. R. Srinivasan, Medical Commissioner (Medical Services) from the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Headquarters, along with Dr. Sulabh Saini, Nodal Officer of the Public Health Unit, conducted an official visit to ESIC Hospital, Chitrakoot Nagar, Udaipur, on Saturday to carry out a detailed high-level inspection of the ongoing ‘Annual Health Checkup’ pilot project. During the inspection, the quality of medical services, operational processes, and facilities provided to beneficiaries were thoroughly evaluated.

Nodal Officer Dr. Prabodh Solanki stated that the pilot project was launched at ESIC Hospital, Udaipur on April 1, 2026. Under this initiative, beneficiaries are provided essential diagnostic services such as blood tests, ECG, eye examinations, and X-rays at a single location, ensuring early detection of diseases and timely effective treatment. A dedicated team of specialist doctors has been deployed to ensure smooth service delivery, including eye care services under Dr. Poonam Gupta, laboratory services supervised by Dr. Prabhat Kumar Mehta, and radiology services provided by Dr. P.D. Sharma.

Dr. Solanki added that overall project supervision is being conducted under the guidance of Dr. Anuradha Gehlot, while coordination and smooth functioning are effectively managed by Deepika Patel and Manish Parashar. Additionally, Dr. Amit Tambi and Dr. Mukesh Kumar Manju have played a key role in ensuring the availability of necessary resources and proper deployment of staff. The complete structure and operation of the camp are being effectively managed by Dr. Prabodh Solanki and Dr. Prabhat Kumar Mehta, while Dr. Mohit Arora is responsible for testing and clinical review of patients’ reports.

During the inspection, Dr. Srinivasan and Dr. Saini praised the arrangements, efficient operations, and innovations implemented in the health checkup process, calling it a model project and emphasizing the potential for replication in other ESIC institutions. Dr. Srinivasan specifically commended all officers, nursing staff, and administrative teams for their dedication and excellent work.

Following the inspection, a review meeting was held in which the Medical Commissioner provided officers and staff with guidance for continuous improvement in service quality. He emphasized timely completion of checkup procedures, prompt availability of reports, and maintaining a compassionate and cooperative attitude toward patients. Additionally, Joint Director Deepak Kumar Chaurasia was tasked with ensuring necessary awareness initiatives. The hospital administration expressed confidence in implementing the headquarters’ recommendations and guidance with priority to further strengthen and enhance the effectiveness of medical services.
