Strengthen Sub-Divisional Public Hearing System: District Collector

Udaipur: A meeting of all Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs), Tehsildars, and Naib Tehsildars of the district was held on Tuesday at the Collectorate auditorium under the chairmanship of District Collector Gaurav Agrawal.

At the outset, the District Collector interacted with all officers, taking their introductions and gathering information about their respective areas. He sought feedback from SDMs regarding important locations in their jurisdictions, progress on key budget announcements, and major ongoing development projects. He also issued detailed instructions to ensure that all required information for the monthly revenue officers’ meeting is submitted in the prescribed format within the stipulated time.

The Collector directed all Sub-Divisional Officers to conduct the monthly sub-divisional public hearings, held on the second Thursday of every month, in an organized and systematic manner. He emphasized that citizens should not have to travel repeatedly to the district headquarters for grievance redressal, and that cases should be resolved effectively at the sub-divisional level itself. He also instructed officials to take the contact/grievance portal seriously and ensure timely and quality disposal of complaints.

Reviewing the law and order situation, the Collector directed officers to carry out regular field visits and maintain close monitoring of all developments. He also instructed them to report any major incident immediately.

He further reviewed the progress of the Chief Minister’s Developed Village-City Ward Campaign and directed officials to get plans approved in ward meetings and upload them on the portal. Additionally, he discussed the upcoming Panchayati Raj and Urban Local Body elections, taking updates on voter list publication work and issuing necessary guidelines.

The meeting was attended by ADM (Administration) Deependra Singh Rathore, ADM (City) Jitendra Ojha, Girwa SDM Avula Sai Krishna, Gogunda SDM Shubham Bhaisare, trainee IAS Srishti Dabas, along with all Sub-Divisional Officers, Tehsildars, and Naib Tehsildars.
