National Technology Day Celebration Organized by Vigyan Samiti and Associated Institutions

A special program was organized today at Vigyan Samiti on the occasion of National Technology Day under the joint aegis of Vigyan Samiti, the Institution of Engineers, the Mining Engineers Association of India, and the Dr. D. S. Kothari Institute. The Chief Guest of the ceremony was former Vice-Chancellor and Higher Education Advisor to the Governor of Rajasthan, Prof. Kailash Sodani.

Welcoming the guests, Vigyan Samiti President and neuroscientist Dr. Mahip Bhatnagar highlighted the background and significance of National Technology Day. He also shared details about Vigyan Samiti’s science popularization projects and emphasized the importance of the Mobile Science Laboratory and the Aryabhatta Science Awareness Center.

Chief Patron Dr. K. L. Kothari presented the background of the Dr. D. S. Kothari Excellence Award and briefly outlined the 67-year service journey of Vigyan Samiti.

Media In-charge Professor Vimal Sharma informed that this year the Dr. D. S. Kothari Excellence Award–2026 was conferred upon Dr. Kirti Jain. Dr. K. P. Talesara presented an overview of her personal profile, contributions, and achievements.

Award recipient and keynote speaker Dr. Kirti Jain, CEO of GBH Medical College, discussed advancements in technology and the role of artificial intelligence in precision medicine. She explained that the type and dosage of medicines in the future would increasingly be tailored according to individual patient requirements. She also spoke in simple terms about symptoms, health parameters, artificial intelligence, timely and accurate treatment, genomics, DNA sequencing, and modern technologies used in cancer treatment.

Chief Guest Prof. Kailash Sodani appreciated the various service projects of Vigyan Samiti and stressed the importance of research, innovation, and libraries in education for the progress of the nation.

During the event, the book “Sakriya Mastishk – Sakriya Man” (Active Brain – Active Mind), authored by Dr. Mahip Bhatnagar, was also released by the dignitaries present on the dais.

Engineer Purushottam Paliwal from the Institution of Engineers and Engineer R. K. Chaturvedi from the Dr. D. S. Kothari Institute also shared their views during the program.

Dr. K. L. Totawat delivered the vote of thanks, while the program was conducted by Dr. R. K. Garg.
