Udaipu: The Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary Eco-Sensitive Zone (ESZ) Monitoring Committee reviewed conservation measures and stressed strict adherence to environmental regulations during a meeting held at the District Collectorate on Friday. The meeting was chaired by Additional District Collector (Administration) Deependra Singh Rathore under the guidance of the District Collector.
Deputy Conservator of Forests Yadvendra Singh Chundawat presented a report on the implementation of decisions taken in previous meetings and outlined ongoing conservation and monitoring initiatives in the Eco-Sensitive Zone.
Addressing the officials, Rathore directed all concerned departments to ensure 100 percent compliance with environmental norms and work in close coordination to safeguard biodiversity. He emphasized that any violations should be dealt with promptly and effectively.
The committee also discussed the nomination of new members and considered suggestions to further strengthen protection of the Eco-Sensitive Zone. Officials from the UDA, Water Resources Department, Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board, Forest Department, Town Planning, and Mining Department attended the meeting.
