Udaipur: The nursing staff of hospitals affiliated with RNT Medical College organized a grand welcome ceremony for newly appointed Nursing Officers at the NLT Auditorium on Sunday. The event was chaired by Dr. Rahul Jain, Principal and Controller of RNT Medical College, with Dr. R.L. Suman, Superintendent of MB Hospital, as the Chief Guest, and Ms. Beena Chaudhary, Nursing Superintendent, as the Guest of Honour.
The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and Vande Mataram, followed by the traditional Mewar welcome of guests with uparnas and coconuts. In his address, Dr. Rahul Jain urged the newly appointed Nursing Officers to serve with discipline, dedication, and compassion, emphasizing that nurses are not only healthcare professionals but also the strongest support for patients during difficult times.
Dr. R.L. Suman highlighted that many of the officers have been posted in critical units such as the NICU and ICU, describing their appointment at MB Hospital as both an honour and a significant responsibility. He encouraged them to make informed decisions and treat patients and their families with empathy and respect.
The ceremony featured addresses by newly appointed Nursing Officers, organizational representatives, and concluded with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem. Hundreds of Nursing Officers and nursing staff attended the event.
