Sindhi Community Urges MP Mannalal Rawat to Resolve Long-Pending Land Issue

Udaipur: The Sindhi community submitted a memorandum to Udaipur MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat, seeking the allotment of residential plots to 396 eligible families of Bhupal Housing Society, Pratap Nagar, who have remained deprived of their rightful land for decades. Community leaders said that after the 1948 Partition, the then Maharana Bhupal Singh allotted land for Sindhi rehabilitation, but encroachments and legal disputes have delayed possession he would soon hold discussions with the Divisional Commissioner, UDA officials.

Dr. Rawat, who personally visited Jhulelal Bhawan to meet the community, assured members that resolving the issue is a priority. He said he would soon hold discussions with the Divisional Commissioner, UDA officials, and other authorities to find a solution. If necessary, he will also raise the matter with Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma.

The delegation also requested adequate representation for Sindhi community members in the upcoming Municipal Corporation elections. The MP assured them that dedicated party workers would receive due consideration during the candidate selection process.
