Dr. Rajendra Dubey Appointed New Vice-Chancellor of Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University

Udaipur . His Excellency Shri Haribhau Bagade, Governor of Rajasthan and Chancellor of Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University (SKRAU), Bikaner, has appointed Dr. Rajendra Babu Dubey as the new Vice-Chancellor of the university.

The appointment has been made on December 18, 2025, by exercising the powers conferred under Section 19(3) and 19(7) of the Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University Act, 1987 (as amended), on the recommendation of the Search Committee and in consultation with the State Government.

Dr. Dubey is the former Dean of Rajasthan College of Agriculture, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur. He has served MPUAT in several senior academic and administrative positions and is internationally recognized as a maize scientist.

Dr. Dubey has developed more than 15 improved varieties of maize and medicinal plants and has published over 250 research papers and articles in national and international journals. He has guided more than 30 M.Sc. and Ph.D. students during his academic career.

Currently, Dr. Dubey is a member of the Board of Management and the Professors’ Selection Committee of Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner. He has also served as a Governor’s nominee on the Selection Committee at Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur.

In addition, Dr. Dubey has been a member of the Board of Management and Selection Committees at Sri Karan Narendra Agriculture University, Jobner, and a member of the Vice-Chancellor Selection Committee at Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer. He has also contributed as a member of faculty selection committees in several universities across the country.

Dr. Dubey has undertaken research visits to several countries and has made significant contributions to agricultural research, education, and institutional development.
