Inauguration of Four New Tractors by the University

Udaipur — The Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology inaugurated four newly purchased tractors today at the Directorate of Extension Education. These tractors were procured by the College of Technology and Engineering, Udaipur.

The four tractors have been allocated to the Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) in Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, and Rajsamand, as well as to the College of Technology and Engineering. The inauguration was carried out by the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Pratap Singh.

The Vice-Chancellor stated that the budget for these tractors was provided by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi. He emphasized that the tractors will significantly strengthen and enhance crop seed production and overall farm development activities at the training farms of the KVKs.

Several dignitaries were present at the ceremony, including Registrar Ashok Kumar; Director of Extension Education Dr. R. L. Soni; Estate Officer Mrs. Vyas; Dean Dr. Manoj Kumar Mehla; Director of Research Dr. Arvind Verma; and senior scientists and heads of KVKs, including Dr. Ratan Lal Solanki, Dr. C. M. Yadav, and Dr. P. C. Regar. Faculty members and staff of the Directorate of Extension Education and the College of Technology and Engineering, including Dr. Rajeev Bairathi, Dr. Yogesh Kanojia, and Dr. S. S. Meena, were also present.

Director of Extension Education Dr. R. L. Soni expressed gratitude to all the guests attending the inauguration ceremony. He also informed that the tractors are from the TAFE (Massey) company, with capacities of 46 HP and 50 HP. Additionally, he extended thanks to Dr. J. P. Mishra, Director of ATARI, Jodhpur, for facilitating the budget allocation for the purchase of these tractors for the KVKs.
