Udaipur: As part of the Pre-Vayu Sainik Camp-I, Drone Training Camp, and Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) being organized by Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur, and 6 Raj Air Squadron NCC, Udaipur, cadets are receiving hands-on training in modern drone technology at the College of Technology and Engineering (CTAE) campus.
During the camp, under the guidance of Corporal Praveen Chouhan, cadets participated in an intensive training session at the CTAE sports ground, where they learned about drone construction, design, and operational mechanisms. The cadets assembled drones themselves and gained practical knowledge of various components, technical specifications, and safety protocols.
The training also covered safe drone operation, flight control, take-off, and landing procedures. Cadets enthusiastically practiced flying and landing drones safely. Witnessing the successful flight of drones built with their own hands boosted their confidence and generated great excitement among the participants.
Commanding Officer Wing Commander Natraj Dagur stated that the objective of the drone training program is to familiarize cadets with modern technologies and foster technical proficiency and innovation. He emphasized that drone technology is increasingly being utilized in diverse sectors, including defense, agriculture, disaster management, surveillance, and research. Therefore, providing practical exposure to emerging technologies is essential for preparing cadets for future challenges.
Drone training expert Sergeant Raghuvanshi highlighted that the program will help develop technical understanding, problem-solving skills, and an innovative mindset among cadets. He noted that hands-on experience in drone construction and operation will equip them to face future technological challenges with confidence.
Cadets described the training as highly informative and inspiring, stating that it enhanced their understanding of modern technology and demonstrated how emerging technologies can contribute to national service.
Caretaker Officer Ram Narayan Kumhar, along with camp officials and cadets, was also present on the occasion.
