68th Board of Management Meeting of MPUAT Concludes

Udaipur: The 68th meeting of the Board of Management of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur, was held under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Dr. Pratap Singh. Several important decisions related to research, administration, and institutional development were unanimously approved during the meeting.

At the outset, Registrar Mr. Ashok Kumar presented the minutes and action-taken reports of previous meetings before the Board for approval. The Board also approved the establishment of two voluntary research centers sanctioned by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) under the All India Coordinated Research Project (AICRP) for research on fodder crops and soybean.

A brief report outlining the major administrative orders and activities undertaken by the University during the past year was presented. The Board also deliberated on and approved significant decisions related to the recruitment process for both academic and non-academic positions.

The Board ratified the proceedings of the Academic Council meeting held on June 15, 2026. Key decisions approved therein included maintaining the existing fee structure without any increase for students and the establishment of a Directorate of Human Resource and Development.

The proceedings of the 32nd and 33rd Finance Committee meetings were also approved. Among the notable decisions was the formulation of a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the management and operation of Fixed Deposits (FDs). The Board further approved the payment of fellowships and remuneration to Senior Research Fellows (SRFs) and Research Associates (RAs) working under self-financed projects in accordance with ICAR norms.

The meeting was attended by Board members Mr. C. R. Devasi, Additional Divisional Commissioner, Udaipur; Er. Suhas Manohar; Dr. Kavita Joshi; Dr. R. L. Soni; Ms. Darshana Gupta; Finance Controller Ms. Nisha Vyas; and Estate Officer representatives. Other Board members, including Dr. Surendra Kothari, Dr. Lokesh Gupta, and Mr. Narendra Singh, Deputy Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Government of Rajasthan, participated virtually.
