Cadaveric Oath Ceremony Held at Pacific Institute of Medical Sciences, Udaipur

Udaipur: At the Pacific Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Umerda, Udaipur, the Department of Anatomy administered the Cadaveric Oath to MBBS students before the commencement of cadaver dissection. The oath was administered by Principal Dr. Suresh Goyal, Academic Director Dr. Dilip Kumar, and Head of Department Dr. Ganesh Khemnar.

During the ceremony, Dr. Suresh Goyal emphasized that the human body (cadaver) is considered the first teacher of every medical practitioner. Through the cadaver, medical students learn professional principles, scientific knowledge, ethical conduct, and compassionate behavior.

The purpose of the Cadaveric Oath is to instill in students the highest respect for the human body, uphold confidentiality, and remain mindful throughout their careers of the noble donation made by the deceased and their families. Students pledge to use the knowledge gained through this donation for the service and welfare of society.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Pranav, Dr. A.L. Bejenteri, Dr. Chintan, Dr. Prakash K.G., Dr. Saniya, Dr. Shobhit Srivastava, Dr. Shabina, Dr. Ram Prakash Saini, Dr. Manhit, Dr. Najima, and Dr. Vijay Lakshmi.
