PIMS Mewar Cup 2026: A Commitment to “Bowl Out Cancer” Alongside Cricket

Udaipur: The fourth edition of the PIMS Mewar Cup, organized by PIMS City Hospital and co-sponsored by Solitaire, will be held from February 17 to 24 at the Field Club. The tournament trophy was officially unveiled today at Solitaire Banquet & Garden.
The trophy unveiling ceremony was graced by eminent personalities, including Ashish Agrawal, Chairman and CEO of PIMS Hospital Umarda; Naman Agrawal, CEO of PIMS City Hospital; Vikas Purohit from Miraj Group (National Publicity Convener); Shashank Singhvi of Round Table India; and Himanshu Singh Rajawat from the CID.
Naman Agrawal, CEO of PIMS City Hospital, shared that the tournament will be inaugurated on February 17 by the Honorable Governor of Punjab, Gulab Chand Kataria. From February 17, two matches will be played daily, culminating in the final match for the trophy on February 24.
The tournament will feature eight teams: PIMS United, Cross Roads, Mewar Tourism Club, GCA Colts, Adityam Real Estate, Delhi Challengers, Udaipur Lake City Warriors, and Balaji Constructions, competing in Group A and Group B formats. Over 40 IPL players will showcase their cricketing talent during the event.
The tournament is not only a celebration of sport but also carries a significant social message. This year’s theme, “Bowl Out Cancer”, focuses on cancer awareness and prevention. Globally, nearly 20 million people are affected by cancer each year. According to medical experts, timely screening and proper diagnosis can effectively control this disease.
The driving force behind this initiative, Naman Agrawal, emphasized that sports is a powerful medium to unite society. He highlighted ongoing efforts through the Leela Foundation to provide free cancer screening and treatment to rural and economically disadvantaged communities in the coming years. His vision is to use sports as a platform to raise awareness and take meaningful action for public welfare.
