Chief Minister’s Sensitivity Ensures Support for Persons with Special Abilities

Sriganganagar:  Under the leadership of **Honorable Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma**, the Rajasthan government remains committed to public welfare and the upliftment of all sections of society. Reflecting the Chief Minister’s sensitivity, special support is being extended to persons with special abilities.

As part of this initiative, the **State Government and Directorate for Persons with Special Abilities, Jaipur** have announced under the budget that eligible persons suffering from **muscular dystrophy** will be provided **electric power wheelchairs** to improve their mobility, enhance convenience, and promote self-reliance.

**Deputy Director of Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Shri Virendra Pal Singh**, informed that eligible persons with muscular dystrophy, or their guardians, can submit their applications on the prescribed form along with the necessary documents to the **Office of the Deputy Director, Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Sriganganagar** by **January 15, 2026**.

He further stated that applications are invited under this scheme for persons holding a **yellow or blue disability certificate** suffering from muscular dystrophy. Required documents include a **self-attested copy of the pension PPO, income certificate, Aadhaar card, Jan Aadhaar card, caste certificate**, and a **recent photograph**.

This initiative aims to empower persons with special abilities by providing them essential mobility support and greater independence.
