Discussion Held on New Provisions of Indian Penal Code and Evidence Act

Sri Ganganagar: The **Rajasthan State Judicial Academy** organized the **second joint quarterly workshop** for judicial officers of the Sri Ganganagar and Hanumangarh judicial divisions on Sunday at the Collectorate Auditorium. The workshop was presided over by **Hon’ble Justice Ashok Kumar Jain**.

The workshop commenced with a **lamp lighting ceremony**, followed by a formal welcome and felicitation of the Hon’ble Justice. During the event, participants raised questions on various legal topics, to which the Hon’ble Justice provided clarifications and emphasized that judicial proceedings should be conducted in accordance with all relevant provisions.

Discussions during the workshop focused on **new criminal laws, the Indian Civil Protection Code, the Indian Penal Code, and the new provisions of the Indian Evidence Act**. In addition, civil matters were also deliberated, including applications under **Order 7 Rule 11 CPC**, **Order 1 Rule 10**, **Order 38 Rules 4 and 5**, and **Order 14 Rule 2 CPC**. Hon’ble Justice Jain urged judicial officers to ensure that judicial procedures are carried out carefully in light of the new provisions.

The workshop was attended by senior judicial officers including:

* **Narayan Prasad**, CJM
* **Ashok Kumar Tak**, Judge, Family Court, Hanumangarh

* **Deepak Parashar**, POCSO Court, Hanumangarh
* **Sunita Bera**, CJM, Hanumangarh

Other judicial officers from both districts were also present. The program was coordinated and conducted by **Nidhi Poonia** and **Latika Deepak Parashar, ADJ No. 2**.

The workshop provided a platform for judicial officers to discuss the implementation of **new legal provisions** and emphasized adherence to proper judicial procedures in both criminal and civil cases.
