Demand Submitted to Minister Jhabar Singh Khurra for Prompt Recruitment of Sanitation Workers

Sri Ganganagar: Under the leadership of Seth Valmiki, President of the All India Sanitation Workers Congress (Branch), and Bunti Valmiki, Convener, and with guidance from local MLA Jaydeep Bihani, a delegation met Swatay Shasan Department Minister Jhabar Singh Khurra at his Jaipur residence to submit a memorandum regarding the recruitment of new sanitation workers.

The union demanded that the Municipal Council of Sri Ganganagar conduct permanent recruitment of 500 sanitation workers in accordance with the city’s expanding area. They also requested that temporary sanitation workers, who have been working for years, be given priority in the new recruitment process. Additional demands included the implementation of the old pension scheme, permanent appointment for temporary workers involved in ongoing court cases under the new recruitment, proper disposal of solid waste, and regularization of irregularly working computer staff in the council.

Present at the memorandum submission were Union President Seth Valmiki, Convener Bunti Valmiki, Valmiki Community President Suraj Bhatia, Executive President Sunil Ghusar, General Secretaries Deepak Chawariya and Soni Tank, Vice President Deepak Lohat, Vishal Lohat, and others.

Minister Jhabar Singh Khurra assured the delegation that the recruitment process for sanitation workers would be initiated soon and that the submitted demands would be addressed.
