Draft Electoral Roll Published; Claims and Objections Can Be Filed Till April 7

Sri Ganganagar: Under the Urban Local Bodies General Elections 2026, the draft electoral roll was published on March 24, 2026, by District Election Officer and District Collector Dr. Manju. Prior to this, a meeting with representatives of political parties was held at the Collectorate auditorium under her chairmanship regarding the publication of electoral rolls. During the meeting, both hard and soft copies of the voter lists were distributed to the representatives.

It was informed that the draft electoral rolls for Sri Ganganagar Municipal Council, Padampur, Anupgarh, and Ghadhasana municipalities were published on March 24, 2026. After the reading of electoral rolls at ward and polling station levels on March 25, claims and objections can be submitted until April 7, 2026.

Special campaigns will be conducted on March 29 and April 5, 2026. The disposal of claims and objections will be completed by April 15. Thereafter, supplementary lists will be prepared by April 20, and the final publication of electoral rolls will take place on April 22, 2026.

According to the data shared:

  • Sri Ganganagar Municipal Council: 103,276 male voters, 97,012 female voters, and 13 transgender voters, totaling 200,301 voters.

  • Padampur Municipality: 7,948 male voters, 7,310 female voters, and 1 transgender voter, totaling 15,259 voters.

  • Anupgarh Municipality: 12,290 male voters, 11,524 female voters, and 2 transgender voters, totaling 23,816 voters.

  • Ghadhasana Municipality: 9,747 male voters, 9,042 female voters, and 3 transgender voters, totaling 18,792 voters.

It was also stated that individuals who have turned 18 years of age as of January 1, 2026, can have their names added during the claims and objections phase. Those left out during the draft publication can also submit claims in this period. Applications will be accepted in Form 3 for inclusion of names, Form 5 for objections, and Form 6 for corrections.

On this occasion, Deputy District Election Officer Subhash Kumar, Electoral Registration Officer Sri Ganganagar Nayan Gautam, representatives from Indian National Congress including Bhimraj Dabi and Rakesh Sharma, Bahujan Samaj Party representative Bhajan Singh Gharu, Bharatiya Janata Party representative Pradeep Dherad, and Aam Aadmi Party representative Kulvinder Singh, along with others, were present.
