Legal Awareness Camp Organized at Dadhimathi Women’s Teacher Training College

Sri Ganganagar: Under the guidance of Ravindra Kumar, President of the District Legal Services Authority and District & Sessions Judge, Sri Ganganagar, a Legal Awareness Camp was conducted on Tuesday at Dadhimathi Women’s Teacher Training College, Sri Ganganagar. The camp was organized by Ravi Prakash Suthar, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority and Additional District & Sessions Judge.

During the camp, Mr. Suthar addressed the students and provided information on various important issues including NALSA schemes, acid attack victim compensation, mental health concerns, domestic violence, and exploitation cases. He explained the compensation amounts available under programs run by NALSA and RALSA, such as the Victim Compensation Scheme and Acid Attack Relief Scheme.

Students were also informed about baby cradles (Palna Grih), emphasizing that if anyone finds a newborn abandoned in streets, alleys, or bushes, they should immediately take the infant to the Government Hospital, Sri Ganganagar, or the state-run baby care center to save the child’s life.

Subsequently, Rohitash Yadav, Chief Advocate of the Legal Aid Defence Council (LADC), explained the process for obtaining free legal assistance and detailed the working of LADC services.

The camp was conducted under the supervision of Aman Chalana of LADC, and the principal of Dadhimathi Women’s Teacher Training College, Dr. Neerupa Sharma, along with other staff members, were present during the event.
