Anti-Drug Awareness Workshop Held at Jain ITI College

Sri Ganganagar: Under the ongoing “Drug-Free Sri Ganganagar” campaign led by District Collector Dr. Manju and Superintendent of Police Harishankar, an anti-drug awareness workshop was organized at Jain ITI College.

The keynote speaker, Vikram Jiyani from the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, delivered a strong message against substance abuse. He stated that addiction is not just a habit but a destructive force that ruins the dreams of youth, the happiness of families, and the future of the nation. He emphasized that if young people become aware and vigilant, this problem can be eradicated at its roots. He urged students to stay away from drugs and actively spread awareness among others, adding that the nation needs their responsible choices and actions.

During the workshop, students were informed in detail about the harmful effects of substance abuse. Through real-life examples and case studies, it was explained how addiction negatively impacts individuals mentally, physically, and socially. The session also highlighted that drug abuse affects not only individuals but entire families and society as a whole.

Students actively participated by sharing their views and pledged to spread awareness against drugs. College Principal Vijender Swami remarked that such initiatives play a crucial role in guiding youth in the right direction and inspiring positive change in society.

At the end of the program, all participants took a pledge to remain drug-free and motivate others to do the same. Police Constable Praveen Kumar also raised awareness about the Manas Helpline (1933), cyber safety, and traffic rules among the students.
