Veerendra Bairwa Re-Elected Unopposed as President of Rashtriya Kala Mandir for Second Consecutive Term

Sri Ganganagar: The general assembly of Rashtriya Kala Mandir was held today at its auditorium, Chaudhary Ramjas Sadan, where members unanimously re-elected Veerendra Bairwa as President for a second consecutive term.

Following his re-election, Bairwa was warmly felicitated with garlands by members present. Expressing gratitude, he said he would soon announce the new executive committee and assured that during the upcoming three-year term, the institution’s 75-year-old legacy would not only continue but be further strengthened.

He emphasized that the institution’s mission to promote music, dance, drama, and fine arts would remain uninterrupted. He also said that the tradition of introducing renowned artists and personalities to the people of Sri Ganganagar would continue as before.

At the beginning of the meeting, the previous proceedings were confirmed. Secretary Rakesh Monga presented a detailed report of the programs organized over the last three years. Treasurer Nilykant Chhabra presented the income and expenditure statement before the members.

For the presidential nomination, Sanjeev Lohia proposed Bairwa’s re-election, citing his commendable leadership during the previous term. The proposal was supported by members including Banshidhar Jindal, M. P. Singh, Sudarshan Batra, and Prerna Chitlangia. The final unanimous approval was announced by chief patron Vijay Goyal and patron Ajay Gupta.

Veerendra Bairwa is associated with several social, religious, and business organizations and is widely recognized as an active social worker.

The institution had once recognized and encouraged the childhood singing talent of legendary ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh, who later gained worldwide fame. Jagjit Singh began his early musical journey associated with this very institution.

For the past 75 years, the organization has continuously promoted music, dance, drama, and fine arts, playing a vital role in preserving and enriching the cultural heritage of the city. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Secretary Rakesh Monga.
