Various Programs Organized on Somnath Swabhiman Parv

Sri Ganganagar: Under the “Somnath Swabhiman Parv,” various programs were organized at Government College, Hindumalkot, focusing on Indian culture, history, and national pride. The objective of the event was to create awareness among students about India’s historical heritage, cultural legacy, and sense of national pride.

On this occasion, Assistant Professor of the History Department, Mamta Gaba, delivered an in-depth lecture on “The History of Somnath Temple and Indian Culture.” She stated that the Somnath Temple is a symbol of Indian civilization, self-respect, and cultural strength. Despite multiple invasions, its reconstruction reflects India’s enduring cultural consciousness.

A quiz competition was also organized during the program, in which students participated enthusiastically.

Students Pooja and Sneha, along with male students Rohit and Robin, shared their views on Indian culture and history.

Assistant Professor of English Dr. Jyoti Sarin said that Indian history is not merely a collection of events but a priceless heritage of cultural identity and moral values. Assistant Professor of Geography Dr. Hanuman Prasad Arya urged students to understand Indian culture deeply and contribute towards preserving and promoting it.

On this occasion, poster-making and essay competitions related to Indian culture and history were also organized.
