The three-day Khelo India Asmita State Silambam Women’s League and Rajasthan State Silambam Championship was conducted at Indy Genius Progressive School, where players from Udaipur, Jodhpur, Barmer, Pali and Hanumangarh showcased their skills. Udaipur’s athletes maintained an impressive lead, achieving top honours under the guidance of Coach Neelmani Panwar.
Outstanding Performance in Women’s League
In the sub-junior category, Samayra Sharma and Tarali Tank secured gold medals, while Kanishka Chaudhary, Dharavi Goswami and Dhruvika Kanwar Rathore received silver medals.
In the junior category, gold medals were won by Devanshi Pathak, Anjana Vaishnav, N. Lehana Chaudhary, Vanshika Sharma and Kunjal Shrimali. Silver medals were obtained by Caprisha Goswami and Sonakshi Singh Chauhan.
In the senior group, Riya Soni, Krishna Kanwar, Cheshta Jain, Lata Lohar and Sandhya Kanwar earned gold medals, while Dishita Arya won silver. These victories collectively placed Udaipur at the top position in the state.
Strong Results in State Silambam Championship
In the sub-junior boys’ category, gold medals were secured by Diyan Kothari, Virat Singh, Rudraksh Dad, and Kartik Soni. Silver medals were claimed by Tanveer Singh, Satvik Sharma, Hemang Gayari, Manan Shrimali and Pravesh Singh.
In the junior division, gold medals were won by Nayan Pandwala, Bhavya Singh, Chitraksh Gayari and Khushvardhan Sharma, while Prince Raj Singh received silver.
In the senior category, Rajveer Salvi, Mukulraj Singh and Divyansh Singh Gaur secured gold medals, and Praharsh Jain earned silver.
With these remarkable performances, Udaipur was awarded the Overall Championship, bringing pride to Mewar. Jodhpur achieved second place, while Barmer stood third.
Encouragement from the Association
Mangalore Salvi, Secretary of the Rajasthan Silambam Association, stated that all medal-winning players had received training at the Marcos Martial Arts Academy. He congratulated the athletes and encouraged them to aim for medals at the national level.
