Message to Encourage Children to Read and Write Children’s Literature Away from Mobile Phones

Kota: Under the joint auspices of Sanskriti Sahitya Media Forum and New Kids World School, Vigyan Nagar, a **Bal Sahityoday** (Children’s Literature Promotion) programme was organized on Saturday on the school premises. During the event, writers conveyed the message of connecting children with literature through poetry. Students presented *Surya Vandana*, recited self-composed poems, and showcased cultural performances. Children who won various literary competitions were awarded prizes.

Chief Guest Jitendra Nirmohi and President Rameshwar Sharma “Ramu Bhaiya” motivated children to stay away from mobile phones and develop the habit of reading and writing children’s poetry and storybooks. They shared that under the *Mission Bal Man Tak*, significant work has been done in the Hadoti region to connect nearly 36,000 children with literature. School Director R. K. Sharma welcomed all the guests and described such programmes as a positive initiative for future generations.

On behalf of the Media Forum, litterateurs Shyama Sharma, Mahesh Pancholi, Pallavi Darak Nyati, Yogiraj Yogi, and Shama Firoz were honored with certificates of appreciation and mementos for their contributions to literary services and children’s literature programmes. Along with them, special guest Dr. Krishna Kumari recited poetry. The writers also presented their children’s books to the school.

Forum Convenor Dr. Prabhat Kumar Singhal informed that children’s creative writing training camps will be organized this year to develop literary creativity among students. The forum will be expanded, and writers associated with children’s literary activities will be enrolled as members.

The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp before the image of Goddess Saraswati. The event was guided by Principal Palak Vijayvargiya, while coordination and anchoring were done by Nidhi Sharma. Historian Firoz Ahmed and more than 200 children were present at the programme.
