Kota: Lawyers in Kota submitted a memorandum protesting the reduction of powers granted to notaries appointed under the **Central Notaries Act, 1952**. The memorandum was submitted to the **Kota District Collector** under the leadership of **Bharat Singh Adsela, President of the Kota Bar Association**.
In the memorandum, the advocates urged the administration to **sympathetically consider this serious issue** and to direct the state government **not to restrict the legally granted document authentication powers of notaries** working in Rajasthan. They demanded that the earlier powers be **restored in full** and that the proposed **amendment to the Registration Rules, 2025**, related to this matter, be **stayed**.
The memorandum further requested the state government to **publicly declare** that the **authentication of all documents by notaries is legally valid and acceptable**, as per the law.
Those present on the occasion included **Kota Bar Association President Bharat Singh Adsela**, **Secretary Shambhu Soni**, and advocates **Akhtar Khan Akela, Raghunandan Gautam, Salim Khan, Ramesh Kushwaha, Madhu Sharma, Jyoti Gaud, Mahesh Sharma, Meghraj Shaktawat, Shambhu Dayal Vijay, Manish Sharma, Ikram Khan, Shakir Khan, and Rekha Kumari**, among others.
