Kota: A month-long tourism awareness campaign, initiated in conjunction with World Tourism Day, concluded today. Led by Dr. Prabhat Kumar Singhal, a former Joint Director of the Information and Public Relations Department and a tourism writer, the campaign engaged over 5,000 students directly and reached approximately 20,000 people indirectly.
As part of the initiative, various cultural, literary, and media forums, along with educational institutions, organized objective quizzes and tourism discussions at 15 schools on topics related to literature and tourism. Articles related to tourism were also written during this period.
Additionally, social media competitions focused on identifying photographs related to tourism and culture showcased information about various tourist destinations in the country. More than 100 participants took part, with winners including Vijay Maheshwari, Vijay Sharma, Vipin Tiwari, Archana Sharma, Rashmi Garg, Mukesh Jain, Sabir Khan, Ram Mohan Kaushik, Hemant Sharma, Hazari Ram Bagni, Anuj Kumar Kuchhal, and Vandana Sharma. All winners will receive certificates and be honored for their achievements.
The campaign received support from heads and staff of educational institutions, as well as authors such as Jitendra Nirmohi, Yogendra Sharma, Dr. Indu Bala Sharma, Vijay Joshi, Dr. Himani Bhatia, Dr. Vaidehi Gautam, Dr. Aparna Pandey, Mahesh Pancholi, Manju Kumari, and Suman Bhandari.
