Eye Donation Campaign Concludes in Kota and Jhalawar with Shine India’s Support

Kota/Jhalawar,  Three eye donations were successfully completed today, Wednesday, through the awareness campaign by Shine India Foundation in Kota and Jhalawar, following the passing of three individuals.

In the morning, Dr. Amit Jain, a homeopathic doctor from Vasant Vihar, received the sudden news of his father, Surendra Kumar Jain (retired from the Heavy Water Plant at Rawatbhata), passing away. Following the information provided by Shine India’s Jyoti Mitra, Manoj Jain, the eye donation process was promptly carried out.

Shortly after, the sudden death of Chandbai, mother of Rajesh Kumar Gupta from Parsvnath Nilay, Kunhadi, occurred. Upon notification by Shine India’s Jyoti Mitra, Mukesh Gupta, and recalling the deceased's prior wish to donate her eyes, the eye donation was completed. Chandbai had long expressed her desire for eye donation, and during this sad moment, her granddaughter Monica Agarwal reminded the family of her wishes.

Meanwhile, in Jhalawar, Shine India’s Jyoti Mitra, Deepashikha Jain, informed the foundation about the sudden death of her cousin, Arpit Jain, due to a heart attack. Arpit’s parents, Suresh Jain and Sushma Jain, gave their consent for their son’s eye donation. Upon receiving the news, Dr. Kulwant Gaur from Kota, along with the Eye Collection Team, reached Jhalawar, where Arpit’s eyes were collected at the mortuary of the District Government Hospital.

Thanks to the efforts of Shine India Foundation, the eye donations of three individuals were successfully completed today. All the corneas have been sent to the Eye Bank Society of Rajasthan in Jaipur for free transplantation.
