Udaipur: In response to the atrocities and killings of minority Hindus in Bangladesh, a public outcry rally was organized in Udaipur under the leadership of saints, representing the entire Hindu community. Before the rally, the saints addressed a public gathering, after which a protest was staged in front of the District Collectorate to express their outrage. A memorandum was then submitted to the district administration, addressed to the President of India.
In solidarity against the ongoing persecution and killings of Hindus in Bangladesh, all commercial establishments across the city and various suburban areas remained closed on Wednesday morning. Traders voluntarily shut down their businesses from morning until noon. The rally, with a large crowd, proceeded towards the Municipal Corporation courtyard and then moved through Surajpole Chauraha, Bapu Bazaar, and Delhi Gate Chauraha, eventually reaching the District Collectorate. The rally witnessed significant participation from women, who marched with placards and chanted slogans condemning the inhumane atrocities and killings of minority Hindus in Bangladesh.
The saints, while addressing the rally, stated that the inhumane atrocities and killings of Hindus in Bangladesh are alarming, with homes being set ablaze. They urged the government to take strict measures and called for Hindus to unite and pledge to protect the nation and their faith. Following the rally, a delegation led by the saints submitted a memorandum to the district administration, addressed to the President.
The unified Hindu community demands that the safety of Hindus, their properties, and their religious sites in Bangladesh be ensured. Additionally, they urged that appropriate action be taken to identify and deport illegal Bangladeshi immigrants residing in India.
The protest and rally, organized by the unified Hindu community, saw participation from various religious, commercial, and social organizations, along with a large number of common citizens.
