Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma's Sensitive Decision

Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma has approved the distribution of agricultural input subsidies from the SDRF to farmers affected by floods and hailstorms during the Kharif season in 21 districts. A total of 5,897 villages, including 2 villages from Sri Ganganagar district, have been declared distressed, with crop damage of 33% or more in 20 districts. This decision will provide significant relief to the affected farmers.

The Chief Minister had instructed a crop loss assessment through giradawari (survey) for the 2024 monsoon season (Samvat 2081), and based on the regular giradawari reports received from the district collectors, this sensitive decision has been made.

In addition to the two villages in Sri Ganganagar, villages from Bundi (486), Nagaur (67), Dholpur (58), Jhalawar (61), Sawai Madhopur (2), Baran (1), Ajmer (592), Bharatpur (418), Kota (345), Tonk (865), Bikaner (45), Banswara (817), Balotra (10), Falodi (207), Pali (155), Hanumangarh (49), Deeg (258), Jodhpur (262), Beawar (626), and Bhilwara (564) have also been declared distressed. Farmers in these villages will receive agricultural input subsidies according to SDRF norms.
