The Chief Minister had instructed a crop loss assessment through giradawari (survey) for the 2024 monsoon season (Samvat 2081), and based on the regular giradawari reports received from the district collectors, this sensitive decision has been made.
In addition to the two villages in Sri Ganganagar, villages from Bundi (486), Nagaur (67), Dholpur (58), Jhalawar (61), Sawai Madhopur (2), Baran (1), Ajmer (592), Bharatpur (418), Kota (345), Tonk (865), Bikaner (45), Banswara (817), Balotra (10), Falodi (207), Pali (155), Hanumangarh (49), Deeg (258), Jodhpur (262), Beawar (626), and Bhilwara (564) have also been declared distressed. Farmers in these villages will receive agricultural input subsidies according to SDRF norms.
