New York/New Delhi/Pali/Jodhpur. P.P. Choudhary, leader of the Indian delegation to the United Nations General Assembly, MP from Pali, Rajasthan, and Chairman of the One Nation One Election Joint Parliamentary Committee, presented India's position during the general debate at the UN Third Committee meeting on Wednesday, exposing Pakistan's nefarious intentions and history of propaganda.

Rejecting Pakistan's baseless comments on Jammu and Kashmir, MP Choudhary reiterated that the Union Territory is an integral and inalienable part of India. He criticized Pakistan's habitual misuse of UN platforms to advance narrow political objectives, including rigging elections, imprisoning popular leaders, bombing its own people, and brutally suppressing popular movements. MP Chaudhary reminded the world community that Pakistan's own army chief has also described the country as a "dump truck," exposing the rot in its governance system.

Chaudhary emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India stands as a reliable partner of the global South and the United Nations, in contrast to Pakistan's divisive and repressive policies. He said that India's Constitution, inspired by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, provides a rights-based framework that ensures every citizen can reach their full potential. He also highlighted India's achievements in inclusive development on this occasion. Over 250 million people have been lifted out of multidimensional poverty in the past decade, while nearly 800 million people are benefiting from the public distribution system. He pointed out that social security now covers 64.3 percent of the country's population.

On women's empowerment, Chaudhary said that 'Nari Shakti' has become a national mission, with women's enrollment in higher education among the highest globally and their participation in the workforce expected to increase to 40.3 percent by 2024-25. He described the Women's Reservation Bill, 2023, as a milestone in women-led governance.
MP Chaudhary emphasized India's youth empowerment and technology-driven development, highlighting the success of the My India, Skill India, PM-NAPS, and YuvaAI AI skilling programs. He also mentioned digital innovations like Direct Benefit Transfer (US$512 billion distributed digitally) and UPI, which have transformed financial inclusion. He expressed pride in the My Panchayat app, which won the WSIS 2025 Champion Award for empowering 265,000 village councils. Finally, Chaudhary said that our India is firmly committed to achieving its vision of 'Developed India-2047' under the able and strong leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

*Heartfelt tribute at the statue of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi*

Earlier, MP Chaudhary, along with the entire Indian delegation, paid floral tributes to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi at the United Nations Headquarters, expressing their heartfelt respect for him. They stated that his eternal message of peace, non-violence, and harmony continues to guide and inspire us and serves as a beacon for the world.

*Fruitful discussion with Richard Gowan*

MP Chaudhary and members of the delegation held a fruitful discussion with Richard Gowan, Director of the United Nations International Crisis Group, on the topic of "Making the United Nations Fit for Purpose."

On this occasion, MP Chaudhary stated, "As the head of the delegation, I express my deep gratitude for the strategic guidance provided by Ambassador P. Harish, India's Permanent Representative to the United Nations."
