Udaipur | Bringing pride to the city’s vibrant art community, emerging painter Naina Somani has secured top honours at the 12th Annual Women Artists Exhibition आयोजित by Artscapes. The prestigious exhibition was held at Punjab Kala Bhavan in Chandigarh.

The exhibition witnessed participation from over 1,000 artists across India and abroad, making Somani’s achievement particularly remarkable. Representing Udaipur—and notably the only participant from Rajasthan—she was awarded First Prize in the Professional Category, along with a cash award of ₹50,000.

🖌️ Global Recognition Across Categories

In the professional category, the second position was awarded to Alzohra JJ from Greece’s Crete, followed by Sukhjit Kaur (third) and Riya Kar (fourth).

In the student category, top honours went to Harshita, while Isha secured second place. Netrika Agrawal and Pancham Gaur were awarded third and fourth positions respectively.

🏆 Awards Presented by Governor

The awards were conferred by Ashim Kumar Ghosh, adding further prestige to the event.

Somani’s achievement not only highlights her individual artistic excellence but also places Udaipur firmly on the national and international art map.
