UDAIPUR — The fifth season of the popular regional dance competition, the Udaipur Dance Championship (UDC-5), concluded with a blend of devotion and dance at the Madhushree Banquet Hall in the City of Lakes. Jointly organized by D Square and Bandhan Wedding & Events during the auspicious month of Sawan, the event was themed around devotion to Lord Shiva. Participants delivered dance performances choreographed to Shiv Stuti, bhajans, and the Shiv Tandava. Competition Results & Highlights Senior Category: Ruchi Suthar secured first place, while Kiran Goswami finished as the first runner-up. Junior Category: Diyara Juneja won first place, with Pakhi Ameta taking second place. The event also featured a live flute recital by Dhananjay Soni and a group dance performance by the Explosion Dance School ensemble. Anchor Nitin Dashora hosted the event alongside co-anchors Abhishek Paliwal and Ajay Singh Panwar. Event Objectives & Organization Show Creator Nitin Dashora stated that UDC-5 was specially curated with Lord Shiva’s devotional music to promote traditional cultural heritage through competitive dance. Garima Mathur, Director of UDC-5, noted that while nearly 50 entries were received, participation was initially capped at 20 contestants. Due to high demand, future editions will expand capacity to accommodate 35 to 40 participants. The judging panel comprised Nitin Dashora, Krutika Chaubisa, Khushi Sharma, Nirmal Paliwal, Rhythm Panwar, and Vaibhav Purohit, who evaluated contestants on technical skill, expressions, and stage presence. Prizes & Future Announcements Winners were awarded a 54-bead Rudraksha mala, a trophy, a certificate, and a sandalwood garland. Additionally, raw sandalwood garlands sponsored by Priya Kumawat were presented to all participants. The event was attended by President Mukesh Madhwani, Chief Guest Ashish Harkawat, and Special Guests Jayshree Nagda, Krutika Chaubisa, Bhanupriya Sahu, Viplav Jain, Ganpat Salvi, and Raviraj Soni, along with key organizational supporters including Vinayak Patidar, Kavya Harkawat, Vijay Singh Rathore, Suresh Nagarchi, Krishna Nagarchi, Dinesh Gothwal, and Sunil Kalra. During the event, organizers released the official poster for UDC-6 (Krishna Janmashtami Special) scheduled for September 3, where contestants will perform to Krishna bhajans, alongside the unveiling of the banner for Mr. and Miss Corporate Season 6.
