Under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, the College of Community and Applied Sciences, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur, organised a grand Tiranga Rally.
Teachers, staff members, NSS and NCC volunteers, Rangers, and students of the college participated enthusiastically in the rally. Carrying the national flag and raising patriotic slogans, the participants urged citizens to hoist the Tricolour at their homes and strengthen their sense of respect and responsibility towards the nation.
The rally reinforced the spirit of national unity, integrity and patriotism in the area. Young children from the Lab Nursery School of the Department of Human Development and Family Studies also participated enthusiastically. Dressed in the colours of the Tricolour and carrying national flags, the children joined the rally and conveyed the message of developing patriotism, discipline and a sense of national pride from an early age.
On the occasion, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Pratap Singh said that the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is not limited to hoisting the national flag; rather, it is a means of inspiring every citizen with a sense of patriotism, unity and national pride.
College Dean Dr. Sarla Lakhawat spoke about the significance of the national flag and the importance of respecting it. Students were also shown a video highlighting the evolution and history of the Indian national flag.
The programme concluded with all participants taking a pledge to uphold the unity and integrity of the nation.
