Chairman of National Tribal Commission Visits Udaipur, Reviews CSR Activities in Tribal Areas

Udaipur, : Shri Antar Singh Arya, Chairman of the National Scheduled Tribes Commission, visited Udaipur on Thursday. During his visit, he went to the Hindustan Zinc office located at Swaroopsagar, where he met with senior company officials to review the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities being carried out in tribal areas.

During the meeting, Shri Arya expressed satisfaction with the company's CSR initiatives, appreciating the efforts made to empower local communities, particularly women, and integrate them into employment opportunities. He highlighted the commendable work being done in tribal-majority areas and emphasized the need to connect women and their self-help groups (SHGs) with TRIFED (Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India) to enhance publicity and marketing benefits for these groups. He further suggested that the company focus on education, healthcare, and women’s empowerment in its tribal area activities.

Manish Vasudev from Hindustan Zinc briefed the Chairman about the company's business activities, while Anupam Nidhi provided detailed insights into the company's CSR initiatives. The meeting was attended by TAD Deputy Commissioner Ragini Damor, officials from the Tribal Commission, and Hindustan Zinc representatives Nishtha Gupta, Hemant Nagda, and Ravi Dave.
