####From Struggle to Summit: Bhansol’s Dr. Rajendra Kumar Meghwal Earns PhD Through Grit and Determination

Udaipur |A journey that began on the narrow paths of struggle has now reached the pinnacle of academic excellence. Dr. Rajendra Kumar Meghwal, a resident of Bhansol village in Mavli sub-division and presently serving at the Government Multi-Purpose Veterinary Hospital, Udaipur, was conferred with the prestigious Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree on December 22, 2025.

The degree was awarded by Hon’ble Governor of Rajasthan, Shri Haribhau Kishanrao Bagde, during the 33rd Convocation Ceremony of Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur.

Research with a Vision for “Developed India 2047”

Dr. Meghwal completed his doctoral research on the topic:
“An Empirical Study of Livestock Administration in Rajasthan (With Special Reference to Artificial Insemination Policy)”
under the guidance of Prof. C.R. Suthar, former Dean of Mohanlal Sukhadia University.

The core objective of his research is to enhance the success rate of artificial insemination in livestock, thereby transforming animal husbandry into a sustainable industry. The study highlights how improved livestock productivity can increase per capita income, strengthen the state’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and contribute meaningfully to the Government of India’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’.

A Life Marked by Hardship and Perseverance

Dr. Meghwal’s life story is one of extraordinary resilience. In 2006, while he was studying in Class 11, he lost his father, leaving him as the eldest among four siblings with the full responsibility of the family on his shoulders. Despite severe financial hardship, he refused to give up on his education and continued his studies by working as a daily wage laborer.

In 2008, he secured admission to Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bikaner, for veterinary training. Due to financial constraints, he worked as a night security guard in Jaipur to support himself during his training years.

Professional Success Alongside Academic Excellence

Dr. Meghwal’s determination bore fruit in 2012, when he cleared the competitive examination in his first attempt and was selected as a Livestock Inspector in the Rajasthan Government’s Animal Husbandry Department. Even after securing a government job, he continued his academic pursuit with unwavering dedication, culminating in the successful completion of his PhD in 2025.

Gratitude and Recognition

Dr. Meghwal humbly dedicated his success to the blessings and support of his late grandmother Smt. Modi Bai, late father Shri Rupalal Ji, late maternal uncle Shri Bhimraj Ji Meghwal (Kuncholi), his mother Smt. Logri Bai, and his wife Advocate Kanku Meghwal.

On this proud occasion, retired Additional Director of Animal Husbandry Department Dr. Sharad Arora, Joint Director Dr. Suresh Jain, along with other officers and staff, felicitated Dr. Meghwal with garlands and extended heartfelt congratulations. They also encouraged him to continue such impactful research aimed at breed improvement through artificial insemination, helping establish animal husbandry as a robust industry in Rajasthan.

Dr. Rajendra Meghwal’s inspiring journey stands as a shining example of how determination, hard work, and faith can turn adversity into achievement.
