Udaipur: An enchanting blend of literature, performing arts, and visual creativity came alive at the Rajasthan Sahitya Akademi premises, where TEAM Sanstha presented a thoughtfully curated cultural programme that left audiences deeply impressed.

Sharing details of the event, Sunil Tank, Secretary of TEAM Sanstha, theatre director, and programme coordinator, said the programme began on an auspicious note with a soulful Saraswati Vandana rendered by Dr. Sharda Bhatt. Her melodious voice mesmerized the audience and set a serene, inspiring tone for the evening.
This was followed by an engaging storytelling session by “Kahaniwala Rajat,” who cast a spell over the gathering of litterateurs with his distinctive narrative style. He remarked that while countless stories and literary works lie buried in books and hearts, there is a need for storytellers who can bring those hidden emotions to life and guide them from the ears straight to the heart. His short, evocative stories earned resounding applause from the audience.
International craftsman and educator Hemant Joshi, speaking on the theme “Sahitya Akademi Vidyalaya ke Sang,” shared a powerful metaphor, comparing life to a wall—where even a single window can let in a refreshing breeze. He emphasized that if the reach of the Sahitya Akademi extends to government schools, India’s future generations would remain connected to their cultural roots and gain exposure to the country’s diverse arts, literature, and traditions. His passionate address was warmly appreciated by academy members and fellow writers.
Adding a vibrant visual dimension to the programme, Shaili Shrivastava, along with her group, presented a graceful Odissi dance performance, showcasing rich hues of classical dance forms and earning enthusiastic appreciation from the audience.
The programme also featured reflections by senior litterateur and former Dean of the Hindi Department at Rajasthan Vidyapeeth, Sharda Pota, who shared her insights on the current direction and condition of literature.
Alongside the performances and discussions, several exhibitions emerged as major attractions. Sketch artist Rahul Mali created a live sketch of the Divisional Commissioner, drawing keen interest from viewers. A distinctive painting exhibition titled “Anayas Art Expression” by a senior theatre personality and film actor showcased spontaneous artistic expression. Senior litterateur and critic Kundan Mali’s exhibition “Batiyati Kitaabein” introduced visitors to his literary journey.
Art lovers were further captivated by Nilofar Munir’s paintings, crafts, and papier-mâché artworks, as well as Ruchi Sukhwal’s “Artisan Potli Craft,” featuring innovative creations made from waste materials. The exhibitions even attracted foreign tourists, some of whom purchased the artworks.
Concluding the event, Divisional Commissioner Pragya Kevalramani and Rajasthan Sahitya Akademi Secretary Basant Solanki praised TEAM Sanstha for its innovative contributions and creative vision. Writers and audiences alike lauded the initiative, celebrating it as a memorable and meaningful confluence of literature, art, and culture.
