Udaipur:On the occasion of ‘Jana Gana Mana’ Day and the 77th Republic Day, renowned Udaipur-based gold and silver artisan, Professor Dr. Iqbal Sakka, has created unique miniature artworks symbolising national pride and global unity. Dr. Sakka, a 121-time world record holder and honoured with the title of Swarn Shilpi Shanti Doot, has crafted these artworks entirely in silver.
To convey the message of world unity, Dr. Sakka designed a 2-inch long and 1-inch wide silver world map, bringing together all seven continents—Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, and Australia—into a single form. The artwork features the words “Jana Gana Mana” delicately engraved in silver cutting and decorated in the tricolour, symbolising unity in diversity.
In addition, to commemorate the 77th Republic Day, he also created a 3-millimetre silver Tricolour and a 3-millimetre silver Ashoka Pillar, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship at a miniature scale.
Dr. Sakka stated that the glorious national anthem composed by Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, along with the Tricolour and the Ashoka Pillar, does not only inspire Indians but also conveys a universal message of harmony, peace, and togetherness to the entire world.
He further shared that he intends to present these symbolic artworks to the United Nations Council through the President of India. In this regard, Dr. Sakka has written a formal letter to the President of India, expressing his desire to gift these creations as a message of global unity from India to the world.
