Doubling Work on Ajmer–Chanderiya Section to Affect Train Services

 

Jaipur: Train operations on the Ajmer–Chanderiya section of North Western Railway will be affected due to non-interlocking work being undertaken as part of the railway doubling project between Jharwasa–Bandanwara and Singawal stations in Ajmer Division. The work will impact train services during September and October 2026.

According to Mr. Amit Sudarshan, Chief Public Relations Officer, North Western Railway, several train services will remain cancelled, diverted, partially cancelled, regulated, or rescheduled during the block period.

Twelve Train Services Cancelled

A total of 12 train services will remain fully cancelled on specified dates. These include:

Jodhpur–Indore and Indore–Jodhpur Express

Madar–Udaipur City and Udaipur City–Madar Express

Udaipur City–Jaipur and Jaipur–Udaipur City Express

Udaipur City–Yognagari Rishikesh and Yognagari Rishikesh–Udaipur City Express

Udaipur City–Delhi Sarai and Delhi Sarai–Udaipur City Express

Santragachi–Ajmer Special and Ajmer–Santragachi Special

Diversion of Train Routes

Several trains, including the Jaipur–Bandra Terminus Special, Jodhpur–Indore Express, and Ajmer–Bandra Terminus Express, will operate on diverted routes via Ajmer, Abu Road, Palanpur, Sabarmati, and Vadodara. The trains will halt at designated stations along the revised route.

Partial Cancellation

Train No. 19606 Udaipur City–Madar Express will operate only up to Ajmer from September 10 to October 3, 2026. The service between Ajmer and Madar will remain cancelled.

Train No. 12992 Jaipur–Udaipur City Express will terminate at Rana Pratap Nagar on specified dates, with the Rana Pratap Nagar–Udaipur City section remaining cancelled.

Delays and Regulation

Several trains, including the Jaipur–Udaipur City Express, Udaipur City–Madar Express, Hisar–Hyderabad Express, Jaipur–Hyderabad Express, Udaipur City–Jaipur Express, and Ajmer–Bandra Terminus Express, will depart one to two hours later than their scheduled timings on specified dates.

In addition, some services, including the Udaipur City–Madar Express and Udaipur City–Yognagari Rishikesh Express, will be regulated by approximately 40 minutes en route.

No Halt at Selected Stations

During the block period, Train No. 19606 Udaipur City–Madar Express, Train No. 19711 Jaipur–Bhopal Express, and Train No. 19712 Bhopal–Jaipur Express will not halt at Jharwasa and Bandanwara stations on the notified dates.

North Western Railway has advised passengers to check the latest train schedules and running status through official railway channels before commencing their journey to avoid inconvenience.
