###Human Service Is the Highest Form of Service to God: Birla

Kota: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla attended the 31st anniversary समारोह of Shri Ram Charitable Hospital in Kota on Thursday. Addressing the gathering, he said that the life of Lord Shri Ram stands as an ideal of service, dignity, ethics and dedication, and these very values are clearly reflected in the functioning of the hospital. For over three decades, the institution has been selflessly providing medical services with the belief that serving humanity is equivalent to serving God, making it a source of inspiration for society.

The Lok Sabha Speaker said that the distinct identity of Shri Ram Charitable Hospital lies in the fact that every needy person receives treatment and compassion here, irrespective of caste, class or economic status. He emphasized that service is the core spirit of the Sanatan tradition, and institutions such as temples, charitable hospitals and food service initiatives keep this tradition alive. The life of Lord Shri Ram, he added, is not only a symbol of faith but also a guiding path for moral living and a strong sense of duty.

Birla also highlighted that during the COVID-19 pandemic, doctors and healthcare workers saved countless lives by working under extremely challenging conditions, often risking their own lives. This, he said, is a true example of India’s humanitarian strength and spirit of service, which has enhanced the nation’s reputation at the global level.

Looking ahead, the Lok Sabha Speaker said that Kota will emerge as an even stronger hub for healthcare services. Through the collective efforts of the government, society and institutions, modern medical facilities, free treatment, and support systems such as Ramashray—providing food and resting facilities for patients and their families—are being developed. These initiatives will also help Kota establish its identity as a center for medical tourism.
