Udaipur: The City of Lakes is set to witness a grand and prestigious event in the tourism and hospitality sector on March 21. The Rajasthan Tourism Awards 20
26 presentation ceremony, organized by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will be held at 4 PM at Udaipur Marriott Hotel. The event will bring together leading hoteliers, tour operators, travel professionals, and hospitality experts from across the country.
According to Mukesh Madhavani, Udaipur Division Coordinator of PHDCCI, the primary objective of the event is to promote sustainable development, innovation, and responsible tourism in Rajasthan, making the state’s tourism industry more competitive at the global level. He added that this year’s edition stands out for its wide scope, with awards to be presented in over 35 categories recognizing excellence across the sector. Notably, professionals from the culinary arts and restaurant industry have also been included this year, ensuring broader recognition of this vital segment.

R. K. Gupta, Resident Director of PHDCCI Rajasthan, expressed confidence that the awards will not only encourage outstanding performers but also inspire innovation and improved service standards in the tourism industry.
The event is being supported by Business Circle International (BCI) as the Hospitality Partner. Dr. Shraddha Gattani, Chairperson – Tourism at BCI, noted that such platforms create valuable opportunities for dialogue and networking among stakeholders in the industry.
To ensure transparency and fairness, the award winners have been selected by a high-level jury. The jury, chaired by former Tourism Secretary to the Government of India and retired IAS officer Dr. Lalit K. Panwar, evaluated entries based on parameters such as quality, service standards, and innovation.
