In a grand celebration of excellence and innovation in the tourism sector, the PHDCCI Rajasthan Tourism Awards 2026 brought together industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders at the prestigious Udaipur Marriott Hotel.
Organized by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), the event recognized 25 outstanding contributors who have played a significant role in the sustainable development of Rajasthan’s tourism sector.

Celebrating Rajasthan’s Tourism Potential
Welcoming the gathering, tourism expert and Co-Chair of PHDCCI Rajasthan Chapter Jitendra Singh Rathore highlighted Rajasthan’s unique position in India’s tourism landscape.
He emphasized the state’s rich heritage, vibrant culture, folk traditions, and renowned hospitality as key drivers of its growth, adding that such initiatives foster collaboration and innovation among stakeholders.
Encouraging Innovation & Collaboration
Regional Director R K Gupta noted that the awards aim to inspire stakeholders to adopt best practices, innovation, and sustainable approaches in tourism.
The evaluation process was conducted by a high-level jury chaired by Dr Lalit K Panwar, former Tourism Secretary of India, ensuring credibility and excellence in selection.
Growing Popularity & Industry Integration
Udaipur Convener Mukesh Madhvani remarked that the awards are rapidly gaining popularity and are helping unify the tourism ecosystem while encouraging entrepreneurs to adopt new-age practices.
Adding to this, Shraddha Gattani, Hospitality Partner of the event, highlighted Udaipur’s immense tourism potential and proposed the installation of pink toilets at tourist sites—an initiative that received strong support from attendees.
Institutional Support for Tourism Growth
The Institute of Hotel Management Jaipur joined as the institutional partner. Principal Nimisha Seth praised the initiative, stating that the award categories effectively represent the tourism sector and will motivate entrepreneurs toward innovation.
