UDAIPUR, Mahavir Jain Secondary School celebrated Guru Purnima on Wednesday with devotion, enthusiasm and respect, highlighting the significance of the teacher-student tradition through a special Guru Vandan ceremony.
The program was held under the chairmanship of institution president Dr. Himmatlal Vaya, emphasizing the vital role of teachers in shaping students' lives and character.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Hemlata Jain said a teacher is a true guide who helps students achieve success through knowledge, values and mentorship. She noted that while parents provide a child's first lessons in life, teachers nurture their personalities and inspire them to pursue the right path. She encouraged students to always uphold respect, discipline and gratitude toward their teachers.
As part of the celebration, students presented coconuts (shriphal) to their teachers as a traditional token of respect and sought their blessings for a bright future. The ceremony created an atmosphere of reverence and appreciation across the school campus.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Madhuri Bhatnagar, who expressed gratitude to the guests, teachers and students for making the celebration meaningful.
