Cool Drinks Distributed to Commuters on Rajiv Gandhi Death Anniversary

 

Udaipur, . On the occasion of the 35th death anniversary of former Prime Minister late Rajiv Gandhi, commuters were served cool beverages by the Rajiv Gandhi Panchayati Raj Sangh at the Roadways Bus Stand, Udaipole.

District President and former councillor Hidayat Tulla said that Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, regarded as the architect of modern India, was martyred on May 21, 1991. To mark his death anniversary, members of the Panchayati Raj Sangh paid floral tribute to his portrait and organized a public service activity by distributing chilled jaljeera and cold drinking water to passersby in the scorching heat.

He said the initiative brought a sense of satisfaction and service among the workers, while commuters also appreciated the effort and the tribute paid on the occasion.

Those present during the program included District President Hidayat Tulla, A Block President Someshwar Meena, Bansilal Prajapat, Haji Pyara Bhai, Rais Bhai, Rajkumar Shrimali, Bhagwati Lal, Najma Aapa, Abida Bano, Mahesh Menaria, Sangeeta, Aziz Khan, Nazim Khan, Shehzad Khan, Parveen Kausar, Ayub Tanwar, Ayub Khan, Kishan Panwar and several other members of the organization.
