Guru Nanak Girls PG College Bids Emotional Farewell to Final-Year Students

Udaipur,  Guru Nanak Girls Post Graduate College organized a grand farewell ceremony for its final-year students, creating an atmosphere filled with emotions, memories, and celebration. The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp before Goddess Saraswati, symbolizing knowledge and new beginnings.

Former institution president Sardar Mahendra Pal Singh Likhari attended the event as the chief guest, while institution secretary Sardar Amarpal Singh Pahwa presided over the function. Addressing the gathering, Sardar Pahwa encouraged students to continue striving for excellence, actively participate in cultural and creative activities, and uphold the values and reputation of the institution throughout their lives.

The highlight of the event was the recognition of outstanding students. Harshita Chauhan was honoured with the prestigious Student of the Year award, while Tanisha Patel received the Achiever of the Year award for her exceptional accomplishments.

College Principal Prof. Kothari inspired students to maintain a balance between academics and extracurricular activities, emphasizing that holistic development plays a vital role in achieving success. He urged students to carry the institution’s name with pride and contribute positively to society.

The ceremony was graced by co-secretaries Sardar Satnam Singh, Sardar Joginder Singh, and Surendra Singh Kalra, whose presence added warmth and encouragement to the occasion.

A memorable segment of the programme featured heartfelt speeches by second-year students, who shared cherished memories and conveyed their best wishes to the outgoing batch. The emotional exchanges created an atmosphere of nostalgia and gratitude.

Students also presented a series of vibrant cultural performances that captivated the audience and received enthusiastic applause from guests, faculty members, and fellow students. The performances showcased the talent, creativity, and confidence nurtured by the institution.

The programme was skillfully conducted by Paramveer Kaur and Dr. Ranjita Khaturia, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Anugaya Porwal.

The successful organization of the event was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the Cultural Committee, comprising Dr. Bhagwati Nagda, Dr. Rashmi Manoj, Paramveer Kaur, Dr. Bhavna Sharma, Heeramani Soni, Dr. Anil Sahu, Dr. Satyendra Barbar, Dr. Dimpal Kaur, Taslim Naaz, and Dr. Meena Nagda.

The farewell ceremony concluded on a joyous yet emotional note, celebrating the achievements of the graduating students and wishing them success as they embark on new journeys in life.
