Udaipur: Reiterating its commitment to the conservation of the Aravalli range, the state government has launched a special अभियान (drive) from Monday to curb illegal mining in districts falling under the Aravalli region. In this connection, under the directions of the District Collector, joint teams comprising officials from the Mining, Forest, Revenue, Police and Transport departments are keeping strict vigilance against illegal mining activities in Udaipur district.

On the first day of the campaign, the joint team took action at a brick kiln in Vallabhnagar and detected a large quantity of illegally stored mineral brick earth.

He further stated that as per the directions of the District Collector, joint teams at the district and sub-division levels will continue regular monitoring and take strict action against illegal mining till 15 January.
