###Two-Day State-Level Under-15 Wrestling Championship Concludes in Udaipur

Udaipur: The two-day State-Level Under-15 Boys and Girls Wrestling Championship, organised in memory of late Ustad Omprakash Sen, concluded successfully at the Atal Bihari Multi-Purpose Indoor Hall, MB Ground.

The championship was organised jointly by Shri Chaturbhuj Hanuman Rashtriya Vyayamshala Samiti and the District Wrestling Association, with participation from over 350 young wrestlers representing districts across Rajasthan.

The closing ceremony was attended by State Tribal Affairs Minister Babulal Kharadi as the chief guest. Other dignitaries present included Pramod Samar, Bhawar Singh Pawar (Former District President), I.K. Dutta (Patron, Rajasthan Wrestling Association), A.K. Dutta, and Paras Singhvi, President of the District Wrestling Association.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Babulal Kharadi said that the Bhajanlal Sharma-led state government is making continuous efforts to encourage children towards sports so that Rajasthan’s athletes can bring glory to the state at national and international levels.

A major announcement was made by Rajiv Dutta, President, Rajasthan Wrestling Association, stating that gold medal-winning wrestlers from the tournament will represent Rajasthan at the National Championship in Tamil Nadu, travelling by air. This will be the first time a Rajasthan wrestling team travels by flight for a national-level competition.

District Wrestling Association President Paras Singhvi expressed confidence that winners from this championship would perform exceptionally at the national level and win medals for the state.

During the championship, 30 gold, 30 silver and 60 bronze medals were awarded. As per government provisions, gold medalists will receive ₹1 lakh, silver medalists ₹50,000, and bronze medalists ₹25,000 each.

The event was made possible through the efforts of Organising Committee President Siddharth Sharma, Organising Secretary Prahlad Chauhan, District Secretary Deepak Rajora, Joint Secretary Krish Sen, Devendra Sahu, former international coach Kailash Paliwal, and several coaches and association members.

The closing ceremony was conducted by Devendra Sahu, with the presence of Rajasthan Wrestling Association officials, social workers, coaches, and organisers.
