New Delhi, Former National Vice President of NSUI, Architect Izhar Hussain, met Manish Sharma, National In-charge of the Indian Youth Congress, at the Congress headquarters Indira Bhavan in New Delhi on Wednesday. During the meeting, discussions were held regarding organizational matters and strengthening youth participation in the party.
On the occasion, Hussain also participated in the blood donation camp organized by the Indian Youth Congress on the death anniversary of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Rajiv Gandhi. A large number of youth workers took part in the camp, donated blood and paid tribute to the late leader.
Architect Izhar Hussain said that Rajiv Gandhi’s ideology continues to inspire young people to become the voice of the oppressed, underprivileged and weaker sections of society. He stated that Rajiv Gandhi’s vision was not limited to development alone, but was deeply connected with social justice, technological advancement and empowering the youth.
He further said that the youth of the country should continuously work towards taking Rajiv Gandhi’s ideas and the pro-people policies of the Congress party to every section of society.
During the program, Youth Congress workers also remembered Rajiv Gandhi’s contributions and pledged to follow his ideals.
