The 60th Foundation Day of the Rajasthan Adivasi Sangh was celebrated with great enthusiasm on Friday at the famous Pagliyaji Temple in Rishabhdev. The event witnessed participation from tribal community members, social activists, office bearers of various tribal organizations, and representatives from across the state.
During the ceremony, strong demands were raised for the implementation of complete prohibition in Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) areas and for a separate 6.5% reservation for the tribal community in administrative services. Organization leaders announced that a memorandum addressing these demands would be submitted to the Governor through the District Collector on Monday.
The program was chaired by Bhupat Singh Bhagora, while former Member of Parliament Raghuveer Singh Meena attended as the chief guest. Prominent attendees included Advocate Sundarlal Parmar, Someshwar Meena, Narayan Road, Gautamlal Damor, and Vijaypal Road, along with representatives of several social organizations.
Speakers at the event expressed concern over increasing social evils, alcoholism, criminal tendencies, and declining education levels within tribal communities. They emphasized the importance of unity, social reform, and the protection of constitutional rights granted to tribal societies.
Office bearers shared that the Rajasthan Adivasi Sangh was established on 18 April 1967 by late Hiralal Ahari with the objective of safeguarding the rights and interests of the tribal community. Since then, the organization has continuously worked for social welfare and community empowerment.
State General Secretary Dhuleshwar Kalasua called upon the youth to actively participate in social responsibility and urged all tribal organizations to unite on a common platform. Speakers also voiced disappointment over the alleged neglect of reservation provisions and encouraged the community to remain prepared for organized democratic struggle to protect their rights.
The event proceedings were jointly conducted by Devilal Katara and Sukhlal Ahari, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Mukesh Ahari. A large number of office bearers and community members from district and state levels were present throughout the ceremony.
