Udaipur, Dr. L.N. Mahawar has assumed charge as the Dean of the College of Fisheries at the Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur.
Dr. Mahawar officially took over the position on July 24, 2026. During his tenure at the university, he has served in several academic and administrative roles, contributing significantly to the growth of the college's academic, research and extension activities through his experience and leadership.
After assuming office, Dr. Mahawar said his priorities would include strengthening the quality of education, enhancing students' practical and technical skills, promoting research and innovation in fisheries science, and creating greater employment and self-employment opportunities for students.
He said the college would continue to work towards academic excellence and innovation with the collective support of its faculty members, staff and students.
Faculty members, university officials and employees congratulated Dr. Mahawar on his appointment and expressed confidence that his leadership would further strengthen the college's academic and research programmes.
